We are currently seeking talented people in the following areas:

Vice President Engineering, SaaS Development

Reporting to the CTO, the VP Engineering will manage the software development and quality assurance teams, while working with our product management team to develop our world class solution, engage with customers, and partner with the leadership team on overall business success. The goals of this position is to lead the continued growth and development of our engineering team, build the best solutions in an environment where talented engineers love to work, and to keep our products and services ahead of our competition by continuously delighting our customers and users. This a ground floor opportunity and you will be expected to make a big impact during our high growth phase. Daily Responsibilites

  • Lead software development, technical operations and software quality assurance functions to own and drive successful delivery of all products while contributing to the product strategy and the overall product roadmap.
  • Recruit a world class engineering, operations and quality assurance team and utilize external resources to drive initiatives and product high quality products.
  • Set the technical direction for the team, drive the evolution of the systems architecture, and make appropriate technology choices.
  • Take a hands-on approach to the entire software development life-cycle: develop project and resource plans / schedules; perform day-to-day project management to ensure successful, on-time releases; assist the team in accomplishing all tasks; demonstrate ownership and accountability for the entire product delivery process.
  • Work effectively with product managers, project managers, engineers, and the senior management team to allocate engineering resources appropriately across various projects, juggling current customer/prospect needs with longer term product roadmap needs (weighing, balancing, & communicating the tradeoffs as necessary).
  • Implement processes and metrics to insure that the engineering organization is extremely efficient and focused, and that the product is market ready.
  • Manage expectations, set realistic goals, and achieve them.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, speed, innovation, excellence and a fun work environment while continuously elevating the quality and caliber of our product development organization.
  • Create a productive and healthy work/life balance. Effectively manage stress, foster a flexible work environment, and keep the team focused, engaged, productive, and fulfilled.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of software development experience building and scaling web applications to tens of millions of users globally.
  • SaaS platform and delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the design, development, delivery, support and maintenance of a high performing, technically complex, reliable and robust online application.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully hiring, motivating, retaining and effectively deploying talented software developers and consultants to perform against aggressive delivery goals.
  • Experience with a variety of software development processes, and ability to apply the right process for the project. At least two years of participation in Agile development required.
  • Knowledge of release management and deployment workflow processes, from development release through staging and production deployment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build productive relationships and motivate team members. Must have a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Start-up management experience a huge plus.
  • Background and in-depth knowledge of social media technologies a plus.
  • BS / MS in Computer Science or related degree and/or substantial track record of success in applicable role required.

Senior Level C Programmer

We are seeking a senior level "C" programmer to work on our innovative proxy solution. The right candidate is a team player who hungers for learning, creativity, has a strong desire to contribute, has high energy and a sense of humor!

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years C programming
  • Proven experience with unix/linux
  • Understanding and demonstrated use of HTTP/S protocols
  • Experience with Squid or other proxy server
  • Experience with ICAP, C-ICAP a plus

Tools that we use include gcc, git, bash, emacs, python, ruby, redmine, pivotal tracker.

Tools that we don't use, include Eclipse, nor any other large IDE that is project file focused.

Entry Level Quality Assurance Engineer

Our QA people are the bridge between end-users and programmers, so they must understand the problems that users can encounter. This entry-level position involves testing software solutions, writing test plans, and managing and reporting bugs. The ability to create a recipe for repeatability is required.

We are looking for a Qaulity Assurance Engineer to continue to build and execute tests. Assist senior members of the development team in their QA and development projects.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Create and execute test plans
  • Automate test cases using tools like Cucumber, Watir, and Ruby against our web application and APIs.
  • Assist in reproducing issues as reported from the support department.
  • Participate in the software development process. From feature conception, to planning, to development, to deployment and support.

Required Skills

  • Advanced understanding of the Internet, websites, and how they work.
  • Experience with QA in an agile (SCRUM) environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of specific programming languages a plus, with Ruby and Javascript at the top of the list.
